History

Founded in 2015 by the non-profit Vancouver Visual Art Foundation, Art Vancouver is dedicated to raising awareness of the up and coming art scene in Western Canada. We are host to an international art fair in a world-class location under the sails of the Vancouver Convention Centre East.

We invite you to join us on this artistic journey from April 15th-18th, 2021 as Art Vancouver connects the international arts community under one roof. Featuring an array of reputable galleries and artists from Canada and around the world, exhibitors can showcase their artwork on a thriving and prestigious platform to a global audience.

We look forward to seeing you in April 2021 for Art Vancouver’s sixth global art fair.

Mission

To grow, inspire and empower the local, national and international arts community.

Vision

Art Vancouver is the dream of accomplished artist and art curator Lisa Wolfin. With a group of dedicated volunteers, our vision is to create a premier destination and event that brings global awareness to the visual arts. We encourage a positive and supportive environment for artists and the public to express themselves openly. We aim to achieve this through our events, art classes and panel discussions.

The Vancouver Visual Art Foundation acknowledges that it operates on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Coast Salish people of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. We are grateful to be gathered here and recognize our privileged place on these lands.
